Andrew Adams and JW Goodman won the Jack Wingate Thursday Night Tournament with a big ole 6.83 lbs. Andrew is 16 and JW is 14, gonna be quite the fishermen when they get older!

The C&R fished on Saterday with Baty and Blackmon winning most fish – 14.6 lbs. and Big Fish at 3.8 lbs. It did pour down on them.

About 20 boaters came upriver from Appalachicola on Friday with more following on Saterday. They came over the Blountstown sandbar in knee deep of water.

Winford Mobley fishen in the stump fields had a 5 gallon bucket of Bream, Crappie and Catfish on Thursday and went home by 10am Saturday. There was a boat with 78 Bluegill taken on Crickets, while dressing fish on our skinning bench, lightening hit a pine tree not 20 foot from them. Near blinded them both.

This scribler has seen more signs of hurricane-type weather this week than I’ve seen in a long time.

This week, the Decatur Co. Schools started and everyone has someone going to school, so pole fishen has been a wee-bit slow all week as we prepare for this great event. Some Bream were caught in fact a lot, some Crackers but loads of Catfish and a few Crappie . We’ll see an increase in the fishen traffic this week I’m sure.

This fishen world has been changing fast, most already know it but we at Lake Seminole will have in October the BASS Open on th 7th, 8th and 9th, the Bassmaster Weekend Series on the 15th, 16th and 17th and the FLW Regional series on the 21st,22nd, and 23rd. So as you see, October is a very good month for us.
