Pam Martin-Wells finished 28th place at B.A.S.S. Southern open at Smith Lake, Ala. With 16.10 lbs of bass, Andy Montgomery won the event with 34.9 lbs of bass, 3 day tournament puts it at a little over 11 lbs per day, Lee Boutwell of Climax placed 9th & J. Todd Tucker of Moultey was 29th with 16.10 lbs of bass The Anglers side, Mike Sloan, was 39th place & the “Bass Caddy” was 82nd . The lake 450 ft. at Dam tough to fish.
C&R Tournament was won by Baty & Blackmon with 28.55 and big fish 7.85. Merrit & Luke 2nd with 17.50, Orbit & Adams with 15.75.
The Valdosta Bassmasters was won with 18.04 & big fish 6.85, Mr. Suddarsh took 2nd place with 16.14, Tom Ridley took 3rd place with 12.7.
While Saturday David Mock won the Federation Nations Tournament with 22.50 & big fish at 7.00 lbs.
Tri-States Bass Club fished Wingate’s Sunday & got totally drowned, however, 20 boats showed up & a great time was had, Clint Brown won the event with 23.13 lbs of bass, 2nd place went to Jeremy Horton 16.03 lbs & big fish 7.42, 3rd place went to Ed Griffin with 14.77.
We would like to take this bit of space to announce that the Bainbridge Bass Club will hold its 39th annual tournament out of Wingate’s on May 30th.
Clint Brown & Tanner Lee took the Thursday nite tournament with 6.13 lbs.
Lots of bass was taken on crank baits, spinner baits, & plastic worms, been going on all week one customer in a wheel chair a 5½ pounder.
There has been over 600 bream taken here this week on crickets, some up to 1 lb each, I would say they were on beds.
The Skeedo party that put in at Lake Point on Ufalla & went to Panama City & back on jet skis got a good send off Saturday morning on their way back to Lake Point, 19 vehicles & some 30 people.
