We regret to inform you that the scheduled “Mee/Chi Lower Creek Pow Wow” has been canceled for now. The blame lays on no one, just not able to pull the many things off.

“One” was ask, why is this wind blowing like it is? He quickly ansured, “It happens like this every 4 years, when the national elections are taken place – hot air from the politicians.”

The Great Will Rogers had this to say about politics, “There’s no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole govmint working for you, never has so many done so little with so much. We are the only nation in the workd that has to keep a government for 4 years, no matter what it does. I don’t make jokes, I just watch the government and report the facts.” He also sed, “Ancient Rome declined because it had a Senate; now what’s going to happen to us now that we have a Senate and a Congress? Just be thankful we are not getting all the government we’re paying for!”

Pam Martin-Wells placed 5th in the Ladies Classic on Lake Hamilton, Arkansas. She is one great fisherperson!

The Fishermen For The Hungry Classic had 64 qualify for the Classic held here at Wingate’s Lunker Lodge. The winners were as follows: 1st Place – Andy Koundourakis and Chris Neely with 17.22 lbs., 2nd Place – Kim and Clint Brown with 16.16 lbs., 3rd Place – Matt Baty and Chris Blackmon with 13.74 lbs. Big Fish went to the Browns with a 6.4 pounder.

The Hydrilla Gnats Club Tournament was won by Paul Tyre with 23.58 lbs. Chris Neely came in 2nd with 10.95 lbs.

Awesome catches of Catfish still coming in from Channel of the river and there seems to be no end to the Speckle Perch as our water cools down. We are down in the 60’s now and will get lower.
