The Madison Co. Bass Club fished 4 ½ hours last Sunday with David Blanton winning with 15.16 lbs. He also had Big Fish, a big 6.28 lbs. It was a long haul for 4 ½ hours of fishen.
The Pensacola Retired Military Bass Club also fished and at this time of riten, we have no results.
The Bainbridge Bass Club fished upper Flint River near County Line Landing, all Shoal Bass I am assuming. Pete Barbaree won with 10.69 lbs., Paul Pickles took 2nd and Joey Farris took 3rd. Big Fish went to Paul Pickles with 4.33 lbs. which is a big Shoalie. The largest I ever caught was 3 ½ lbs. standing on the bank and he drug me in the water, like to have drowned me!!
The annual Lee King Tournement will be helt June 14 at Lake Point Marina with registration on Friday, June 13 at the Communitie Center. A purse of $11,250.00 will be offered, $500.00 plus for Big Fish. The number to call is (334) 687-6266. It’s a worthy cause and I recommend it.
We now turn to the Water Wars. Guv-mint says if the 3 Governors don’t settle on an agreement, they will step in and control it. Please God, no more guv-mint in nuthin, guv-mint done shut down Coon Bottom Chicken and Rice Supper after 40 years, we now hear of 2 more worthy causes being threatened for shut-down, please God, no more guv-mint.
Rumer has it that a 1 ½ lbs. Shellcracker was taken. That’s a Big Cracker in anyone’s pond. I’ll check it out and try to have a pic next week and who caught it.
We have had a goodly number of Bream taken on Crickets. The Lake is putting out some really fine Bream again this year. We have not had a report on any Talapia being taken this week, question for the game folks is it legal to gig them??? Day time? Nite time?
