Seminole Ramlin's

April 22, 2007

Tis hard to concentrate on the fishen while lookin’ out my kitchen window at 8 squirrells, 4 pair of red birds, a half peck of Rens, 1 pair of Ring-neck Doves, several Black Birds and all jump up when a big squawkin Crow comes flopin down and they all git up and leave for a few minutes.  The Crow greatly reminds me of one of a full time politition, just a floppin his wings and squawkin.

Our local Hydrilla Bass Club went to West Point Lake & competed with other six man teams from that area.  They won real big, Mike Prindle had 19.6 lbs., Chris Neely 17.0 lbs., Paul Tyre 16.12 lbs. and so forth.  They go to Eufalla next month to compete again and all the Gnats like to fish Eufalla.  We wish them luck.

One boat reported 24 Bass taken and 2 went over 7 lbs.  Several catches of Bass were caught on Spinners, some 5 to 7 lbs. each.  They seem to like a Spinner rite now even in clear water.  The Flint has picked up a lots of mud from rains upstream.  They took Chartreuse Spinner Baits from it.  Seems the spring time fishen is about to take place.

Catfish took to bitten this week and many were taken.

Specks (Crappie) looks good for this coming week.  All fishen would improve if the wind would settle down.

Someone asked if I went fishen any more, I told them that I fished every day but most time it was in my “mind.”

The Big Shellcracker tournament will be this coming Saterday and to my delite Mrs. Tina Brock will sing.

Sorry no pictures this week.
