Seminole Ramlin's March 12, 2006 For some time since I had my hair cut to its summer time short, folks has been asking why. My answer is that I’m gonna re’enlist and in a few weeks, I’ll be in Iraqi. That’s a joke of course, but iffen I was runnin the show, the politicions would stay in Washington, the news media would stay in New York and let the military do what’s ness-sary to bring about piece in that nation. Or I would make glass out of the sand that is everwhere but I’ll never be and it will never be. The Jack Wingate Open drew 45 boats from some of the best fishermen in the Tri-State area. First place went to Stevens and Johnson of Jackson Co., FL with Big Fish at 8.80. Total weight was 5 fish at 22.88 lbs. Second place went to Zorn and Carver with 22.07. Third place went to Brown and Brown with 21.26. Last place went to Tyre and Prindle with 17.88. Great day of fishing. 90% of the fishermen limited with 5 Bass. Talking with several top notch Perch Fishermen, they are telling me that I the Perch Fishermen will use a 16 oz. Jig in shallow water they will catch more Perch and bigger Perch than they do if they use Minnows. Now they also say that once in awhile you must use a small – very small Minnow to tip your Jig with. These are things that I learn from talking to the Pro Fishermen. A few Bream and Shellcrackers has been in the shallow water. The picture is of Mr. Harry of Kentucky with a huge Bass caught on Saturday.
