My ole truck got a genteel good cleaning out of drankin cups, samich
rappers and other varies and sundry items this past week. It tuck 3
garbage sacks and then some to git it down to the floor board on the
passangers side. That’s where I found my duck some one had given me
tied up in a plastic bag. I didn’t even open it, just oozed it up to
the garbage can and dumped it.
I had a bad time in the shower this morning, got soap in my eyes and
they didn’t need washing at all, it was me needed washing.
One of the contestants down pre-fishen the BFL last week was at Twin
Islands 6 to 7 feet of water and heard a big splash side of his boat
looked that way and looked a 9 foot Gator dead in the eye with a huge
white Amvir Carp in his mouth. He was on his stool foot on trollin’
motor, the Gators eyes was a good 7 ft. out of the water.
We heard that things was so slow in Colquitt that it takes a hour and
a half to watch 60 minutes. We also heard that 2 Bass has been caught
off beds in Seminole. It has been reported that on 3 occasions Friday
a Fisher of Men landed 3 doubles on a Diving Bait. It was also reported
that a man caught his Bass on a White Buzz Bait tipped with a chicken
liver. It was also reported that one of the Bassin Gals got her 6 lbs.
Bass on a White Buzz Bait with no chicken liver. We also heard that
one man fishen Spring Creek caught his on a Murple Double Breasted Flipper
Snapper.
The Fishers of Men Tournement
hosted by the Faceville Baptist Church was a great success. 27 boats
fished and 3 more wanted to fish but failed to sign up the night before.
A good time was had by all. The team of Arthur and Miller won the over
all pot, the Big Fish pot, Winning Chance Pot. They came to the scales
with 21.59lbs. of fish, Big Fish weighed 5.9lbs. By their own testimony,
the first place they fished they landed 5 – 2lb. Specks and not a Bass.
They moved on to another spot to totally catch 11 Bass, 9 keepers and
culled to 5 Bass.
Saturday
evening a big long black limosine pulled up in front of Wingates and
we were surprised to see our own Leon and Charlene Jones in that big
thing with about 10 people and they was celebratin their 50th anniversary.
Happy Anniversary Ya’ll!
