Seminole Ramlin's June 27, 2004 Land sakes, I been telling folks in this scribblins, that the drip system is "off" up the Spring Creek area. Well, the gov-mint seems to be done turnt it on agin. Oh well, you know the gov-mint, don't do as I do, do as I say do. Seems that ole Jep Dove of Tallahassee had layed a hook into a new Florida State Record Eastern Chain Pickral, fishin the waters of Lake Talquin. He weighed in at 6.96 lbs and 28 inches long and 14 inches in the belly. New record for all of Florida. The Vatican in Rome, Italy is the most visited place on Earth by tourists, the second most visited is Mecca, the home of the Muslim people, then we in America have the third, which is Disney World, home of ole Micky Mouse. But we in America like to laugh and Mickey and his friends make us laugh. We, as Americans, are not a bad bunch of folks, even so, some folks in high places choose to have our leaders come to a lynching with our leaders the guests of honor. We are a great people to all be from other countries. That is exactly what we are, unless you have a Native American number, then you are a Native American. Otherwise, we are all descendants from other countries. Bass fishen has been rite slow for the past week, only a few good catches came in. Randy Weaver being one and a few others. The Big River Bass Club of Jacksonville fished out with 12 lbs. winning. They had a tough trip. Pam Martin Wells and Steven loaded the boat again on Hybrids, some was dressed for the table. He had a line busted on one of the speedy rascals. Trent Coleman, Demi Gonzales and Charlie McCella, Jr. from Norman Park, GA loaded up on Hybrids also. They took a boat load of fillets back to the school at Norman Park. This is their second trip this summer, they want to come once a month til fall. We have a few Bream coming in on Crickets and a few on Fly Rods. Some are hand size and a heap of 3 fingers. The beds are getting active.
Joe Sloan of the Wilson family who owns Wingates. He caught this while fishing with his dad, Mike, on Father's Day
