Seminole Ramlin's January 25, 2004 They’s Marten Scouts in the gourds and the Osprey’s is building nests all ready. Spring has sprung rite-cheer in the middle of winter, by doggies. For them folks whut ain’t been roun long enough to note that every 4 years the wind blows somthin terrible, it’s the poly-tisions cussin one another . With that in mind, one of the coffee drinkers sed Gov-Dean as-pirin to be President from New Hampshire is like a Fire Ant bed up side of Stone Mountain. According to Zell Millers new book out, it describes 3 of the most popular “isams”: Socialisam, Communisam and Capitalisam. He talks of 2 milk cows in each of them. Socialisam is where the gov-mint comes and gets one cow and gives it away to someone who ain’t got one. Communisam is where the gov-mint comes and takes both of them and gives you a little bit of milk. Capitalisam is where you sell one milk cow and buy a bull. The Seminole Duck Season is out and its been an up and down with the most on the downs, but the Red Heads is in St. Andrews Bay by the thousands. Talk about an outdoor birthday party, Jackson Ruff, my grandson for his 12th, built a bon-fire 9 chillin sleepin in on the ground. Then, Miss Marcie Smith celebraded her 13th with 20 kids on 4 wheelers on fire breaks. I ask the young lady if she was ridin a pink-un. She blushed and sed no. The first tournement of the Tri-States Team Trail is over. Good crowd showed up. Jackie Hamric only had 2 but they weighed in at 13.49 lbs. Britney and Reggie Calhoun of Tallahassee was 2nd with 17.95 lbs. of Bass. Then the Lawhons of Sopchoppie, Fla. come in lent way over on one side with 24.19 lbs. of the most pretty football Bass as you have ever seen. Perch fishin is still a we bit slow. Some can bring in slabs but the average catches are small. At this ritin we have not heard from the other tournements on the Lake this weekend. For those who run Tournements, if this landing is notified of 50 or more boats, the concession stand will be open with coffee, sausage biscuits, honey buns and ice for the Before Daylite Fishermen. The pontoon boat is ready and working for the fishes trip back to the run of the River. For the evening weigh in we’ll also have Dogs, Bergers or BBQs, Tea, Coffee and Chips.
