Seminole Ramlin's January 18, 2004 This scribler likes to jump on the gov-mint when they do something rong. That will be in the next paragraph. This paragraph pats the powers that be for envesting time, energy and money to developing the wide body 747 for use as a freight and passenger carrier instead of the super sonic concorde that France and Briton had to eat last month, it never made a cent. Now for them cats in Washington and Atlanta who has thowed a stumling block in the tourest bizness of South Georgia and maybe North Georgia to. You got to have a permit to go to the bathroom, to drink your own water, the breathe the air you breathe, and in the same breath in the old days of banking, that of Frank Jones, EF Vickers and Reyben Reynolds. Your banking with them was as sacred as what went on in your bedroom at home. But not now, everyone in the world knows your banking the minute you do it. Them what has caused this to the people of this country needs to be two blocked to the yardarm until they mend thier ways. So what, the Jack Fish tore me up this past Wednesday evening and they hit just ahead of the Bass. Well, they did. Some 42 boats launched out of Wingate’s Landing Saterday. 2 tournaments we were able to check had results like this. The Valdosta Club Tom Ridley was the leader with 19.7 lbs. of fish. George Roberson had Big Fish at 5.10 lbs. The Long John’s final Tournament finished like this. Tracy Burnsed and Eric Bozeman in first with 20.98 lbs, and Big Fish at 5.98 lbs., Rob and Mitch Lawhorn in second with 19.95 lbs. and third went to Tommy King and son at 14.6 lbs. There was other tournaments on the Lake besides these. The Perch seem to be in a little better mood to bite than last week. Some rite good ones came in. Randy Weaver had one at 3 lbs., Mr. Howell had a pan of small ones and a 2 and ½ lb. Perch. One of those will fill 2 people up. Bill Dollar fished the Seminole Bass Club's monthly tournement winning with 7 lbs. of Bass from up Spring Creek. He’s from a local address. These out of town folks come to ole Sem and ketch big limits of Bass cause we as locals go back to the same ole places we have fished so long by habit. Sometimes they just ain’t there.
