Seminole Ramlin's

February 8, 2004

Hats off to Bainbridge High School ROTC student Cooksie for being such a good student that he can choose which of the 3 military schools he wants to go to and to Congressman Sanford Bishop for paving the way for him to go. While we are speaking of Mr. Bishop, it is good to know that he made Eagle Scout in his younger days.

Since I have retired and took up domestic work for my wife mate I never knew before now that all small pieces of clothing always seems to end up in the very back of the clothes dryer, why is that?

Lonnie O’Neal of Valdosta fished Saterday and didn’t fish the R&R and blamed if he didn’t weigh in 20 lbs. of Bass.

The Valdosta Bassmasters weighed in Saterday at the ramp, I was not able to find out the winner but Mr. Bruce Musgrove of Live Oak, Fla. had the Big Fish at 9.26. Just a beautiful fish, round fat heavy with eggs. 2 men reported seeing Bass on beds.

Some 60 boats fished the R&R Tournement with the top three going like this. John and Russ Pearson of Columbus, GA was third with a big stringer of 18.22. Them boys was camp students here many years ago. Then the Tindells of Leesburg, GA drug 18.36 to the scales. In between the weigh ins of Big Stringers, Steve Creel of Jakin, GA drug up a 7.36 Bass to take Big Fish of the R&R. Mr. Hubert Stafford and Steve Holt come to the scales with 23.33 lbs. of Fat Bass. Mr. Holt always has a goodun for the weigh in crowd. Saterday he sed, “its been so cold in Washington here lately the polytisions has had to keep they hands in their own pockets.”

The Perch seem to have the lock-jaw, 6 hrs to catch 3 Perch is slow Perch Fishen. Maybe this week or at least on the dark of the moon some 15 days away. By that time some will be in 2 ft of water laying eggs.

The D.N.R. in Atlanta has woked up a bit thanks to some So. Ga. Leadership. They now will sell you a fishen licence from purchase date to purchase date. Progress made.
