Seminole Ramlin's November 16, 2003 Tis a criing shame and a disgrace to the publishing bizness. Why it is that every morning the sun comes up over the ocean at Miami, Key West, Pensacola, Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando and the Tallahassee Democrat can be read daily, while we here at downtown Recovery, GA, only 51 miles from where the scodder is printed don’t stand a chance of reading that paper. This scribler has read that tabuloid for 30 years, every word of it and enjoyed it. There is only 200 houses in our communitie, but most of them are employees of Tallahassee firms, state government or F.S.U. It makes a body want to bend over a railing and throw up. Gentle Joe Crine, sports riter of the Bainbridge Post Search Lite Paper gave a wonderful speech at the V.F.W. Veterans Meeting in his own, very gentle and kind words. In this scriblers own opinion, it would not have done for a flag burner or a protester to be outside at work as we left the building. It mite have got ugly. The cold weather knocked the socks off Bass and Crappie. That is for those who only go for a day a week or visa versa. However, there has been great catches of both by those who go every day. Little Joey Sloan, of the Wilson clan, came up the dock Saterday evening with 18 nice hand size Specks (Crappie). His Dad is a great teacher. Then you have the results of the first Long John Tournement by Sarah Johnson and her Talquin Hookers. The team of Arthur and Conely warped everyones frame by bringing to the scales, 25 lbs. of Bass in 5 fish with a 7.5 Largemouth. A great start for the Long John Series.
