Seminole Ramlin's

December 14, 2003

In America today, theres a new phrase goin roun, its called, “Broken Hammer and Bent Nail.” The reason for this is plain as day. You see a 100% woman take up with a 50% man an she tries to put him back together, build a home and have a family. It don’t work. Same thang goes for a 100% man takes up with a 50% woman. He kills hisself working and she don’t preshait nuthin. Its a modern sickness I reckon.

Late this past Friday, this scribler counted 17 boats Perch fishen on the Flint and Creek, 5 boats Bass fishen and 6 boats Duck hunting. Now so far as I’m concerned, no one set the woods a fire but for that many to be fishen Perch, it ain’t long till they go to fillen the Live Wells with good eatin Fish.

Those few Bass boats seem to be fishen shallow water best as I could tell. However, Graig Taylor took a six and a 3 from 22 feet Friday morning. The Bass has been real slow for the most part. Its gonna go to town by Christmas Day I asure you, so a little bird told me. Spring Creek should have the first staging Fish around. Black Traps and Plastic Worms will do the trick.

Troy Barfield and Bobbie Webb won the Long John Tournement Sariday with 10.95 lbs of pretty Bass. This was done by 8:30am and did not stick another fish all day. Thats when the feeding time slowed and began to end. It started up again at bout 2:30 but all the boats were coming to the dock at that time. Bobbie threw away a $350 rod and reel on another trip, she forgot to push the button so someone sed. I've did it myself.
